Retkietappi’s snowmobile rental service offers an excellent opportunity to explore Ruka’s stunning winter landscapes independently. Our fleet consists of brand-new Lynx Adventure 600 Ace four-stroke snowmobiles, ensuring a top-notch snowmobiling experience for both seasoned riders and first-timers. This model combines easy handling with reliability, guaranteeing a smooth ride across Ruka’s diverse terrain.

Snowmobiles can be picked up from our base at Willis West (Rukanriutta 13, 93825 Rukatunturi, Finland). Please arrive 15 minutes before your rental time for gear fitting and instructions.

Snowmobile Rental Includes Equipment and Instructions

Your rental includes:

  • Snowmobile overalls, socks, winter boots, gloves, balaclava, and helmet for one person
  • Snowmobile operation instructions
  • Route guidance on Ruka’s extensive snowmobile trail network
  • Lubricants, insurance, and VAT

Please note: Fuel is not included in the price. Rentals for 8 hours include up to 200 kilometers of driving. Any extra kilometers are charged at €1/km.

Safety and Liability

The snowmobile renter must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driving license. Passengers must be at least 140 cm tall. In the event of snowmobile damage, the deductible is €1500.

  • Warm, flexible clothing to wear under the provided gear
