A snowmobile safari for beginners is the ideal choice if you want to try snowmobiling for the first time under expert guidance.
This beginner-friendly snowmobile safari offers a safe and unforgettable introduction to snowmobiling in the stunning winter landscapes of Ruka-Kuusamo. The adventure begins at our base at Willis West, where we gather and gear up for the ride.
Before the safari starts, our guide will provide a comprehensive snowmobile briefing and a safety introduction, covering snowmobile operation, essential hand signals, and the traffic rules to follow on the trails.
We’ll set off from the Ruka area, traveling calmly under the guidance of our experienced instructor. The route takes us through snow-covered forests and across frozen lakes, carefully chosen to suit beginners while offering an authentic experience in nature.
Campfire Break in the Heart of Winter Nature
About halfway through the safari, we’ll stop for a cozy campfire break. You’ll enjoy grilled sausages and traditional campfire coffee, warming up and recharging for the rest of the journey. This is also a great moment to ask your guide questions about the local nature or simply relax and soak in the peaceful surroundings.
After the break, we’ll head back toward Ruka. Along the way, our guide will continue to share tips on riding techniques and safe snowmobiling practices.
This 30 km safari is designed specifically for beginners. You can also enjoy the safari as a pair, with one person driving and the other riding as a passenger.
